Sclerotherapy is the medical term given to the treatment and removal of spider and varicose veins. These veins, which often appear dark and/or raised, can have a significant impact on self-esteem. Sclerotherapy is a safe, effective way to get rid of these veins so you can look younger and feel better. The procedure involves injecting a special solution directly into the spider or varicose vein. Over a period of a couple weeks – or even up to a month – the solution will slowly break down the vein, and your body will gradually reabsorb it.
