Sclerotherapy with Asclera Treatments:

Sclerotherapy is a procedure for reducing the appearance of spider veins just below the surface of the skin. Asclera® is an injectable treatment containing polidochinol. It is injected directly into the small veins, creating an inflammatory reaction and destroying the vessels. This procedure is generally well-tolerated and stings less than and is safer than previous treatments for leg veins including hypertonic saline. Following treatment, you will be asked to wear compression stockings and avoid major exercise for at least 48 hours and preferably a week. It can take several weeks following treatment for the skin to completely heal, so this procedure should be scheduled well in advance of any beach vacations or major events.
